Dr. Gallatin is a graduate of Hartland High School. After high school, he attended Eastern Michigan University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then went on to the Michigan College of Optometry where he graduated with Highest Distinction. Dr. Gallatin received his clinical training at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center and the Eye Centers of Louisville in Kentucky. In addition to his practice in Hamburg, Dr. Gallatin is the Acting Chief of Optometry at the VA Medical Center in Detroit where he has provided eye care for our veterans for over 20 years. Dr. Gallatin is also an Associate Clinical Professor with the Michigan College of Optometry, the Illinois College of Optometry and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is trained in primary eye care and eye disease including diabetic examinations and the treatment of glaucoma. He also holds special certification for Myopia Management. He is a member of both the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association as well as a Member Director for IDOC, an organization dedicated to supporting private practice Optometry.
